WB36 Epoxy
DESCRIPTION
WB 36 Epoxy is a two part chemical curing water based epoxy.
TYPICAL AREAS OF USE
- Walls
- Floors
- Concrete and cement render
- Fibre Cement sheets
FEATURES
- Can be applied to damp surfaces
- Non flammable
- Hydrostatic pressure resistant
- Chemical resistant
- Suitable for application to brick, concrete and compressed fibrous cement.
SURFACE PREPARATION
- Do not apply if temperature is below 10’c or above 35’c.
- Do not apply if rain is imminent.
All surfaces to be treated must be structurally sound, clean and free from previous coatings, adhesives, dirt, grease, oil or other surface contaminants. Very dry and highly porous surfaces should be sprayed with a fine mist of water prior to application of WB 36 Epoxy.
MIXING
Mix the hardener component, then the resin component, then thoroughly mix 1:1 by volume, the required amount of the two components together in a separate, clean container. Preferably use a power stirrer for mixing. Only mix as much as may be used within the pot life of the product, avoid excessive aeration.
APPLICATION
Primer: Thin mixed product with 10% water and apply at approximately 8 to 10m2 per litre. After allowing the primer coat to dry for two hours, apply two coats of un-thinned material at the rate of 5 to 6m2 per litre. Allow at least 2 hours drying between coats. Care should be taken to work the material into the surface to fill voids and avoid pin holing.
DRYING
Allow to cure for a minimum of 24 hours at 25°c / 50% R.H before applying adhesives, mortars, or decorative coatings. Allow longer for lower temperatures or higher humidity.
CLEANING & THINNING
Thin the first coat with a maximum of 10% water i.e. Add 1 litre of water to 10 litres of mixed
(Part A & Part B) product. Thinning of the second coat is not recommended.
Wash all equipment in water or water/detergent immediately.
